This post will show you how to wring more sales and money from content you've previously published if you're a content developer.
Here's an example of what you should do:
I was visiting my mother, who lives in a tiny hamlet by the sea, not long ago, and I decided to take out my phone and record a teaching video for a professionally produced video series. Normally, I would merely develop and publish such content as value on my mobile app to generate immediate engagement and potentially even some immediate revenue flow, depending on what the content is selling. But this was for a very different purpose, and it was one of the few times when I need studio-quality production value.
Anyway, the subject was what I refer to as:
"Digital driftwood" is a term used to describe a collection of digital
It was inspired by some beach driftwood I came across.
And what it implies is that practically everyone I know or knows of who does any kind of content creation, coaching, info marketing, or any kind of solo entrepreneur stuff has plenty of content they don't even realize they have. And one of the reasons why a mobile app can be so valuable to those who use it is that it allows you to put all of that content floating around on your phone, hard drive, YouTube channels, and other places right into an app you control, on a platform you own, and do so via a simple and easy-to-use interface that your audience, clients, and customers can instantly experience and enjoy.
Everyone's business is littered with digital Driftwood.
I'm willing to wager the world's largest alligator that you do, too.
You're just not using it in a mobile app that's supposed to help you make money.
Dan Kennedy discusses his concept of "unused capacity" - assets, time, resources, talents, space, media, friends, contacts, networks, and other things you could be using but aren't, but could possibly add another "0" to your present business revenue if you did.
So, what's this?
Digital driftwood is analogous to hundreds of large, fat LOGS of idle capacity drifting down a river that you might collect, use, sell, and expand your business with.
Here's what I recommend doing if you want to start profiting and using yours:
1. Create a mobile app or discover a low-cost zservice that allows you to use mobile app technology - data show that 70% of people now consume material on their phones, and 90% of that content is consumed through a mobile app (not a browser on the phone).
2. Begin loading it with all of your digital "driftwood" content.
3. Begin sharing, selling, or engaging with it.
That's everything there is to it.
Doing that one item alone - with content you already have "floating" around - has the potential to not only generate immediate revenues, but also to serve as the foundation for a coaching, information marketing, or content creation business.
